If this hasn’t happened to you yet… it will. And I want you to be prepared. You ask a question or express your intuition about your health to a doctor or staff person, and they sort of snigger or roll their eyes. Maybe ignore or dismiss you. This is not right. Because you are the patient, and it’s YOUR body and wellbeing. You have a right to be treated with dignity and respect at all times and to have your questions reasonably answered, even if your ideas are outside the regular norms of your providers. This right, among others is protected by federal law. You don’t have to give up your power or be humiliated into submission. So, what to do? Perhaps gently say something like - Let’s try this again. I’m aware that it’s appropriate to have my health concerns addressed reasonably and respectfully. If they can’t at least listen with respect… it’s time to find a provider who can. I’m Rev Doc Lisa, IntegralHealer, and I’m with you on the Journey.
