Hello! I’m Rev. Doc. Lisa.
I’m an experienced Doctor of Oriental Medicine, Acupuncture Physician, Ordained Interfaith/Interspiritual Minister, Board Certified Herbalist and Fellow in Oriental Reproductive Medicine, Certified Palliative Care Chaplain and Integrative Wellness Coach in Coral Gables, Florida. I’m also a (retired) corporate finance attorney.
For over 12 years, I’ve put all aspects of my background into practice for the wellbeing and personal growth of my clients, in-person and (more recently) virtually.
More About Me…
I’ve helped run billion dollar corporate financing deals, managed an NYC construction project, helped pour a cement sheep yard and worked in a soft-serve yogurt store. (Guess which one was most challenging?) I’ve lived on four continents and find great joy and wonder in other cultures and climes. Once I jumped out of a perfectly good airplane over the Great Barrier Reef. I live in Coral Gables, FL with my life partner George and our dogs Tinkerbell and Gracie. Because of George’s love of the feline, we also care for an undisclosed number of rescue cats.
My greatest joy is in serving my clients - assisting them in healing mind, body and spirit. Most of the time, it doesn't feel much like work.
Education and Professional Background
The road to IntegralHealer was indeed winding. After graduating early from high school, I earned an Honors Program B.A. (Phi Beta Kappa) from the University of Miami, chosen from the entire class to “walk for the class” at graduation. I journeyed to the big city to earn a J.D. from top-ranked New York University School of Law. I then spent 7 years as a corporate finance and governance attorney at the highly prestigious firm of Cravath, Swaine & Moore in New York and Hong Kong, and the Fortune 100 Company that is now Time Warner, Inc. in New York.
As my purpose unfolded, I shifted gears and in 2008 graduated with a Masters Degree in Oriental Medicine from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine with Honors. Since then, I’ve practiced and taught about Acupuncture, Chinese Medicine and other health modalities in various integrative health settings, both private and hospital-based, in Florida, New York and New Jersey. Following Interfaith Seminary, I was the first “spiritual but non-religious” chaplain to provide spiritual care at New York's Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. I earned my Palliative Care Chaplaincy Certificate from California State University at San Marcos.
I’ve trained at the UK's spiritualist Arthur Findlay College, served as an end-of-life doula for Valley Health’s hospice in New Jersey, and am certified in Regression Hypnotherapy by the Weiss Institute. I’ve treated and uplifted recovering addicts in the Bronx, the rich and famous at Canyon Ranch Health, and US Veterans at the Neurology/Pain Center at the Manhattan VA. My full name is Rev. Doc.
